Do I need any other software to use XLReporting?
You only need Microsoft Excel 2000 or higher.
Is the information in XLReporting secure?
Yes. XLReporting is password-protected, and it is not possible to access the database without logging in.
Does everyone in my company need to install XLReporting?
No. Only the people that want to generate reports need to have XLReporting installed. Once reports have been generated, they can be saved as normal Excel workbooks, and can be used by anyone with Microsoft Excel.
Can I restrict the information for certain users?
Yes. In XLReporting you can define which reports and import functions can be accessed per user (or user group), as well as protect information based on rules (for example, only certain business units, or a range of accounts etc).
Is there a limit to the volume of data that XLReporting can store?
No. There is no limit. However, if you import large volumes of data into XLReporting, we advise to upgrade from the standard file-based database to a database server (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) for better performance.
